Summary: One of Marsa Alam's hidden gems.  It has a bueautiful sandy beach sandwhiched between encircling coral reefs and the beachside rooms are just a few metres from the sea.

In addition to these natural advantages the hotel's charm is enhanced by simple but highly practical rooms with large showers, spacious fridges and more than ample space.  One of the few hotels in the area where you don't have to wait half an hour for the water to run warm, where the shower tub is sufficiently large enough that the bathroom never floods and where the television works without having to search for the remote control under your room mate's duvet.  

No suprise then that the hotel scores exceptionally well on Holiday Check with an average of 5.3 out of six stars ( December 2009 ) although on TripAdvisor one or two unhappy reviewers who stayed a long time ago, under an earlier management regime, have resulted in a below-par ranking.  However the hotel deserves to score far higher.

The hotel grounds are beautifully maintained and clean.  The staff are all friendly and most have excellent multi-lingual skills.  The pool is beautifully designed and a new chef has done wonders to the restaurant menus.

Location: Just 22 km south of the airport, 19km south of Port Ghalib marina and 44km north of the town of Marsa Alam.   The hotel is built next to one of only seven sandy bays in the Marsa Alam area, although it also benefits from a surrounding coral reef.
 
Rooms: 120 large rooms.

Room Facilities: All rooms have balcony or terrace with sea view plus all the facilities you would expect and a few more -  hair dryer, satellite-television with channels in English, Italian, French, German and Arabic, mini-bar, private shower room, safe with combination lock, climate control air conditioning, telephone and good quality heavy drape curtains to keep out the early morning sun. Additionally  wireless internet access is
available 

Other facilities: Three swimming pools, each in a different setting and including a pool for children.   A main restaurant serving buffet meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner.  A fish restaurant  with an extensive a la carte menu and a lobby bar for cocktails and drinks.  Two pool bars also serve light snacks and beverages all day.   

For evening entertainment there is an outdoor discotheque overlooking the sea, a health club and gym for exercising after the sunset (or during the day if you wish) and twelve shops selling everything from souvenirs to drinks.  You can also loose all your stress and pains with a relaxing massage or jacuzzi in the health club.

"Das Hotel selber ist sehr großzügig. Die Zimmer sind recht groß und vor allem der Balkon war echt schön. Kühlschrank und Safe sind kostenfrei.......Auch das Essen war sehr gut. Vor allem beim Abendessen hat sich der Koch jeden Abend wieder selbst übertroffen. Service war auch top. .....Das Riff ist wie erwähnt fantastisch.....Also wir hatten einen rundum gelungenen Urlaub und werden bald wieder hinfliegen"
