Reviews: on HolidayCheck.com were mixed as of August 2008 with the hotel awarded an average of 3.8 out of six suns with the highest scores for room (4.9) and sport (4.1) and the lowest for service (3.3) and location (3.0). However one reviewer did conclude ( albeit some time ago ) that her holiday there was

and probably the Red Sea's best health club.
Rooms: 150 large rooms.

size is considerably larger than other four star hotels in
the area with a comfortable seating area, good size wardrobes and top quality fittings.
Location: Just 23 km south of the airport, 20km south of Port Ghalib marina and 43km north of the town of Marsa Alam.

One guest commented that the hotel itself was " lovely, clean, very well kept and large and impressive looking.....(and) the pool area and beach are wonderful." But she wasn't entirely happy with the food. While of a "decent enough quality", there wasn't enough variety.
"The basics of rice, pasta, potatoes, and mixed vegetables in a tomato 
sauce are served every single day without fail. As much as you might like these foods, they become extremely tiresome after about 7 days."

Hotel Facilities: 1km long private beach, a main restaurant which provides (to quote AsiaRooms.com 08/08) "many lip-smacking dishes to its guests", a coffee shop which serves drinks and snacks and (according to AsiaRooms 08/08) "this charming hotel provides lunch boxes", weekly oriental show, horse riding, camel riding, massage, children's play area, squash, billiards, table tennis, beach volleyball, Roman Theatre, night club, shops and something which AsiaRooms calls a "Bedwen Tent." There's a great choice of bars for anyone who likes to be always near a drink - beach bar, swimming pool bar, billiard bar and even a diving bar ! A nearby diving center can provide diving and snorkelling lessons.

Location: 15km south from Marsa Alam airport.
Facilties: Main restaurant (Jasmine) open - breakfast: 07:00 - 09:30
lunch: 12:30 - 14:30 and dinner: 19:30 - 21:30, fish restaurant: open from
19:30 till 22:30. Baccara Italian Restaurant open from 11:00 till 17:00. English Pub and disco. Lobby and pool bars. 3 swimming pools, largest 1500sqm and the middle one 500sqm (heated) and one children's pool. Diving Center and a health club with gym, sauna and hair salon open from 0800 to 2000. A Kid's Club open from 11.00 to 17.00. Beach volleyball, tennis court, horse and camel riding, a 250 metre long private sandy beach and coral reef.
Secret tip: Although the Tulip Health Club has satisfied customers we
would still recommend if possible travelling 4km south down the coast
