AL NADA RESORT -
Review by MarsaAlam.com.
Summary: Of Marsa Alam's four star hotels it has the most comfortable rooms, the most impressive overall design, the best swimming pool, an outstanding health club - possibly the best in Egypt, friendly staff and excellent buffet dinners.
This last winter (08/09) the hotel has also been favoured by playful dolphins with several sightings close to the jetty.
The only two disappointments are the relatively hight internet and limousine charges but most other hotels also ask high prices.
Of all Marsa Alam's 40+ hotels, we consider this is the best all-round hotel.
Rooms: 270 large rooms.
Room Facilities: All rooms have balcony or terrace with sea view plus all the facilities you would expect and a few more - hair dryer, satellite-television with channels in English, Italian, French, German and Arabic, mini-bar, private shower room, safe with combination lock, climate control air conditioning, telephone and good quality heavy drape curtains to keep out the early morning sun. Additionally wireless internet access is
available and most rooms are wheelchair
accessible. The room sizes are considerably larger than other four star hotels in the area with a comfortable seating area, good sized wardrobes, generous sized desk and top quality fittings. The bathrooms too are better than those in many five star hotels with none of the loose fittings and shoddy workmanship you so often see in other Marsa Alam four stars. All in all you feel that the owner spent more money on the rooms than was really necessary for a four star. But that's great news if you are a guest !
Location: Just 23 km south of the airport, 20km south of Port Ghalib marina and 43km north of the town of Marsa Alam.
Hotel Facilities: Two restaurants, main buffet restaurant with sea views ( meal times - breakfast 0700 - 1000, lunch 1300 - 1500 and dinner 19.30- 21.30) with vast choice of prepared food as well as dishes cooked to order, reception and pool bars, one of Egypt's best health clubs with sauna, steam room, massage facilities, coiffeur, tatoo and gymnasium ( open 0900 - 2000 ) - a favourite of visiting Cairo VIPS coming to Marsa Alam; laundry, supermarket, parking, perfume shop, souvenir shop, fashion shop, spices shop, conference hall, limousine service that can arrange tailored excursions to Luxor, Hurghada or elsewhere , a friendly 24 hour reception, table tennis, beach volleyball, internet access including wireless, an in-house doctor, disco, Roman theatre, weekly oriental show, giant chess, poole, Kid's Club and children's playground, 400 metre private sandy beach with marina jetty - perfect for chilling out, swimming or fish gazing, extensive coral reef, diving excursions ( it's just a ten minute drive to the famous Abu Dabab Bay where you can see the Dugong sea cow, turtles and dolphins ), a great animation team and a choice of desert quad bike, horse or camel safaris.
Health Club: Possibly the best in Egypt and certainly well above the standard usually found on the Red Sea. Professional and experienced masseurs ( both men and women ) offer a friendly, attentive and unhurried service that attracts regular visits by local and Cairo VIPs. If you want to spoil yourself try the Cleopatra beauty and massage programme. For two hours you really will think you are Queen Cleopatra. And it works. I left feeling refreshed and years younger and my skin had a vibrant shine. For more information contact Seifein Shafik on +20 184 332 337 ( from outside Egypt ) or on 0184 332 337 ( inside Egypt ).

Did you know ? Built in 2007, the owner employed one of Egypt's best artists to paint the traditional style Nubian murals which adorn the walls of the hotel's vast reception and other areas.

On the beach -
"There's a fantastic jetty which runs for about 100 metres across the coral reef to where the deep water starts and you can stroll along and look down at all the beautiful coral and fish or at night time stare up at the beautiful night skies. It's also easy to go snorkelling from the end of the jetty and there's a life guard in the unlikely event that you might need some assistance."
